How to Buy
Our purchasing procedure is designed to be as hassle free and as safe as possible. All products are that have the buy icon are available for sale, due to the nature of our business most products are one off items and multiple options are not available. If using our finder service this is a one of payment with a final % payment on completion of the final transaction, we are not responsible for length of time on finding a product, there is no time scale provided. We aim to make our service as fast and as hassle free as possible if you require and help or information or wish to make an offer on a product please contact stuartmills@millsys-watch.co.uk with any requests.
Payment
We accept major Credit/Debit cards or Bank transfers in UK pounds sterling (£ GBP) only. Bank transfers must be cleared before despatch which takes 0-4 days depending on the issuing bank. Credit/Debit Card orders are despatched the day after payment is made and are estimated to arrive within 24 hours of despatch.
CREDIT CARD POLICY
Please note Millsys and Millsys-watch.co.uk operates a rigorous credit card acceptance policy and fraud screening system to prevent credit card fraud.
1. The Cardholders registered billing address must be submitted on all orders. We are able to post to alternative addresses such as a work address and these will be verified before the order is despatched.
2. Credit cards orders will NOT be accepted without a valid phone number.
3. Due to the high value transactions involved, all credit card orders are manually authorised by ourselves following an in-depth anti fraud screening process. Acceptance of your order online is not an indication that your purchase has been confirmed and will be despatched. Where appropriate we will contact you to gain additional information to verify your identity and status before authorising your purchase and despatching your order.
4. We reserve the right to decline your order if we believe there is a unacceptable risk of fraud or where incomplete or incorrect information is received with your order. To assist in this, please ensure all details below are completed fully to ensure that we can process your order and avoid any unnecessary delays in despatching it.
Delivery
UK orders are shipped using the Royal Mail's 24hour Special Delivery service with full insurance for the purchaser against loss and damage. This is charged at a flat rate of £7.50 per item and unless otherwise stated the watch will be despatched the next working day after your order is received.
Overseas orders are shipped using 'Royal Mail International Signed for' service. Please note that due to export and shipping insurance restrictions, we can only currently despatch watches overseas with a total order value less than £5000 we are not responsible for import or customs charges this is down to the country delivered to and we cannot calculate prior to purchase. We reserve the right to reduce this limit after ordering, due to any local restrictions in shipping vintage products to your country. A flat rate of £10.00 is charged for shipping for all countries listed in our order form. Please contact us if your country isn't listed, for details of costs and services available for your country.
Please note we cannot be held responsible for delays in Royal Mail's delivery network and all delivery dates provided should be treated as an estimate only, holiday periods will affect your delivery date and we are not responsible for delivery dates during these periods.
Claims for Loss/Damage
In the rare event of loss or theft of your parcel within the Special delivery service, we will submit a claim with Royal Mail on your behalf. A refund of the complete purchase price will be paid by Royal Mail direct to the purchaser, once they have investigated the case and concluded that delivery cannot be confirmed. Please note that Royal Mail will only allow a claim for loss to be submitted, after 10 working days from the date of posting.
Refunds / Guarantees
All our watches are sold in superb condition and most are sold serviced or recently serviced. All watches are checked and inspected before sale for function, continuous operation and good timekeeping. We also guarantee authenticity of every watch we sell with full money back if after purchase it is proved the watch is not genuine.
Pre-owned watches with dealer signed warranty paperwork will come with balance of any manufacturer’s warranty remaining. Please note that all vintage items are sold with a 30 day warranty unless explicitly stated or agreed otherwise. Vintage watches by their very nature cannot be guaranteed specifically to maintain a particular rate of timekeeping as this depends on a number of factors including age, quality of the movement and positional, temporal conditions of use of the particular watch. If your watch ceases to work, or experiences gross timing errors within a 30 day period after delivery we will repair your watch for free not including postage costs subject to the fault not being caused by improper handling or misuse. Damage to glasses, balance wheels or water ingress is explicitly not covered. Please note we do not guarantee Waterproofing or Water Resistance in any form. No warranty is offered or implied on leather straps fitted to our watches unless specifically sold separately.
All watches sold for project and parts sold are no returnable these are sold as they are for repair or parts we cannot be held responsible for missing parts or faults on the items, the condition of the item is as per photographs and any other details you require must be asked before purchase and can be provided by e-mail, all questions must be sent to stuartmills@millsys-watch.co.uk.
We operate a 7 day return policy in line with UK Internet distance selling regulations. If you wish to return your product for refund after purchase you can do so by following the following procedure:
- Customers are responsible for the cost of returning products to us
- All returns MUST be arranged with us in writing by emailing us with your intention to return, as soon as possible after receipt of the product by email.
- The watch must be returned within 7 days of receipt, in order to receive a full refund minus postage. They must be sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery service and arrive in perfect originally supplied condition, unworn and with security tag intact (if fitted) with all packaging. Project watches and parts are none returnable.
- Watches returned for refund without authorisation, or with the tag removed, or showing misuse or damage including wear to the strap or outside the return period will be subject to a restocking fee of 20% and cost of any damage for repair is to be the responsibility of the purchaser.
- Please note that if you are giving a watch as a gift, regretfully, we are not able to extend the 7 day return for refund policy from the date the watch is gifted. For this reason it would be advantageous to check the recipient is happy with the watch as soon as it is received before presenting as a gift a later date. This does not affect your statutory rights for refund or repair if we have supplied a watch which is not functioning correctly or has been misrepresented in the description.
All collectables and other product are down to returned condition if damaged we will charge for repair and all items must be the original product sent.
Using our finders section
We hold no responsibility for any items found under request as all transactions will be held with the seller of the item and Millsys or Millsys-watch.co.uk will not be held responsible for the items you purchase not of our website even if advised.
Public Liability/ Indemnity
In all cases, without exception, liability/indemnity and all claims for damage or loss however caused are limited to the cost of the watch itself
